The CES 2022 Tech Dad Roundup

CES is often the time that we see interesting tech, concepts, vehicles, etc. In this CES 2022 Tech Dad Roundup I’m putting together a list of some upcoming items worth taking a look at. Trust me I could have added dozens more.

So take a look, hopefully something catches your interest and if so, I’d love to hear about it in the comments bellow or on Twitter.

LoCoMoGo Train

As a dad in the tech industry this toy fascinates me. Get your kids from 4+ into engineering and coding with a fun train set. I strongly suggest if you are interested in S.T.E.A.M. for your kids that you go take a look at what they are doing with this product.

Schlage Encode Plus™
Smart WiFi Deadbolt

Coming spring 2022, this new smart deadbolt from Schlage will work with Apple’s new HomeKey. So obviously a must for HomeKit homes. But also works with Alexa and Google Home. I’ll be curious to see how this stacks up with other smart deadbolts in time, as this is an industry that is heating up.

AnkerWork B600 Camera

AnkerWork B600 Camera

First off, Tech From Dad loves Anker and their products. This all in one; webcam, microphone, speaker, light, and privacy cover is a must in the new virtual first work force. Not to mention, it will give you a great 2k quality image. This is one I plan on snagging as soon as it’s available.

Eufy Video Doorbell Dual

Eufy Video Doorbell Dual

A dual camera video doorbell from Eufy (an Anker company) that has a top camera to focus on individuals as they approach with a second downward facing camera. The downward facing camera can pan left and right to help keep an eye on your packages. What I like about Eufy is they don’t require a subscription for usage like many of their competitors (cough – Nest – cough).

Picoo gaming controllers

Picoo

The first of it’s kind, outdoor gaming console. This product looks so fun. As someone that grew up outside and found console video games later in life, Picoo’s drive to get kids (and adults) to experience the interactivity of gaming, but with the joy and adventure of being outside! Sign me up!

$250

Chipolo card spot next to iPhone and wallet.

Chipolo CARD Spot

You may already know, the Apple AirTags are the go-to for Tech From Dad, however it just doesn’t work in a wallet. The Chipolo Card Spot works with the Find My network and includes many of the same features the AirTag does, however it’s the size of a credit card. This one, I’ve already ordered.

$35

Nebula projector overhead view with descriptive text about features list.

Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K

This one is a bit pricey, but wow! Nebula (yet another Anker owned company) creates small form factor / portable projectors. This Nebula Cosmos gives you rich 4k media with Dolby Audio, Chromecast, and Android TV. It’s pricey, but it’s pretty awesome and could make for some fun family memories.

$1500

If you’ve ever followed CES you know this is only a drop in the bucket when it comes to tech and product announcements. As I stumble upon other items I think may be interesting I’ll update this post. But as mentioned, if you thought something was interesting that I’m not mentioning, please drop a note below or hit us up on Twitter.

I do plan on snagging a few of these items such as the Chipolo Card Spot, most of the Anker products, and maybe the LoCoMoGo Train. With that said, I’ll be sure to do a review on the ones I get my hands on.

Tech From Dad is a passion project started by an average dad named Andrew. He loves all things tech and family. He's quick to be an early adopter but at the same time takes a calculated approach to buying new products.
